Is Email In Danger? Posted on July 3, 2008. Filed under: alexiskold | Tags: email, evolution of communication, project management, twitter | Human history is one of progressive improvement in communication. From the 20th century mail was a fundamental form of communication. The invention of electronic mail (email) changed two things. It became cheap to send mail, and delivery was instant. Email became favored for both corporate and personal communication. But email faces increasing competiti

Marvel Comics - Secret Invasion: Front Line #1 Review

Wed, 02 Jul 2008 20:08:15 PDT
It was only common sense that Marvel would put out another Front Line series. There never seems to be too much going on in the Front Line comics and that trend continues in Secret Invasion: Front Line #1. Is Brian Reed already boring us with the title or is he just looking ahead at the big picture?

Its a Girl

Wed, 02 Jul 2008 14:34:11 PDT
This is a special show. We had to do a weekday show because we had to much to talk about. Now that the pills are starting to work we kind of got boaring for a while. Don't worry we recover fast, and were back to our natural being in no time. I would like to say if you are to shy to write a review maybe you could be the first, and start a trend.

A proposed bill to amend Canada’s Copyright Act

Thu, 19 Jun 2008 22:37:20 PDT
A week ago the minority federal government of Canada, and Industry Minister Jim Prentice, tabled an amendment to the Copyright Act. Entitled Bill C-61, its purpose is to bring Canadian copyright law into compliance with the current WIPO treaty (this despite their being no international legal obligation to implement WIPO - it hasn’t been ratified by Canada). Prentice states in a Toronto Star letter to the editor that C-61 will allow… “…the recording of webcasts I think he means podcasts and

Some Relief on the Jobs Front

Thu, 03 Jul 2008 05:42:39 PDT
Forecasting the change in monthly nonfarm payrolls is as close as it gets to a shot in the dark, but lo and behold, the jobs report came in about as close to expectations as these reports ever do. The Labor Department said that employers cut 62,000 jobs last month, right around the average forecast of 55,000 jobs lost. The unemployment rate was 5.5%. Though many had thought the jobless rate would trickle down to 5.4% after the big half-point jump seen a month ago, that reading too came as som

Taking the Cream from the Top

Thu, 03 Jul 2008 06:35:33 PDT
One of the things I have noticed in recent years is a trend people have developed to be superficial when dealing with others and situations. They seem intent on getting just what they want and then moving on quickly.

Dear friends; the two things that we need help with most right now in Vancouver are housing for war resisters and your participation in our outreach and lobbying in Conservative ridings and keeping up the media visibility. Below is a housing appeal, please pass it on freely. Also in Vancouver we will be doing another visit to a Conservative riding, probably either Emerson's in Vancouver or Nina Grewal in Fleetwood-Port Kells. That is tentatively planned for Saturday June 28. War Resister Housing

Diablo 3 (aka The end of your social life.)

Sat, 28 Jun 2008 10:44:46 PDT
Dreams, prayers, wishes, desires, they have all been answered: Diablo 3 is coming. It probably doesn’t really come as a surprise to anyone, I’m sure, but still. If announcements were rated on an awesomeness scale, this ranks up there with sliced bread and a handful of Stones of Jordan. I haven’t had a chance to read much about it yet, and I’m on babysitter duty for the next couple of hours, but it looks like there’s a lot to digest. I think I’ll start at 1UP.com and go from there. Still no re
